The technical program is starting to take shape for the
Java Symposium, led by speakers
Scott Davis and
David Geary. Scott is currently on the hook for a record-tying four sessions, speaking on
Atom,
Groovy,
JSON, and
domain-specific languages (implemented in Groovy). Scott is well known as a speaker, and his books include Groovy Recipes: Greasing the Wheels of Java, GIS for Web Developers: Adding Where to Your Web Applications, The Google Maps API, and JBoss At Work.
David is speaking on the GWT, with both an
introductory and an
advanced session. David has also written the best-selling books on both Java component frameworks - Swing and JavaServer Faces.
This represents the tip of the iceberg. I’ll describe these sessions in greater detail, as well as new sessions, in upcoming posts.
