    Hi,
    i am having problems tryingto upload files throgh jsp/servlet.the problem is i am able to load files from windows 95/98 but unable to do so through win 2000/nt.pl give a sol to the prob??does win2000/nt have got any additional security than win 95.98.

  2. Yes, Windows NT/2000 use the NT File System (NTFS), that implements security features that Windows 95/98 don't. Make sure the user under which your servlet container is running has write permission for the directory you're writing to. If you aren't sure just give "Full Control" access to "Everyone" for the directory you're writing to (but, it isn't a good idea to leave it this way for production). You should read up on NTFS.
  3. Not sure if this helps, but if you are still having problems and are looking to upload via a webpage, I used www.jspsmart.com, which has JspSmartUpload, which helps you monitor and restrict/allow uploads
