    ======================
    JeeWiz!, a Java Enterprise tool for developing, deploying and testing Web Services and J2EE applications on BEA's WebLogic Server, has been released by London-based New Technology/enterprise.

    While J2EE is the leading processing platform for Web Services, B2B transactions and traditional web site development applications, it can be complicated to build and deploy correctly.

    JeeWiz! addresses the need to easily create or restructure systems for Web Services and Business-to-business (B2B) transactions as well as traditional web site development.

    JeeWiz! supports corporate environments where central standards are defined and frequently changed. JeeWiz! allows experts to provide templated standards, for use by application developers who develop business logic. This reduces the training required for the bulk of development staff. It also makes it very easy to change corporate infrastructure without impacting business processes.

    JeeWiz! is the first tool to address the complete J2EE development process, from application design to service deployment and testing. The time-savings can be dramatic: a complete Web Service with test cases can be defined and deployed in less than 15 minutes. This can reduce the project cost, risk and time-to-market.

    JeeWiz! generates code for Enterprise Java Beans (EJB2.0), J2EE Applications and Java classes. It deploys to Weblogic Server 6.1 and provides documentation in HTML. JeeWiz! uses industry standard components: XML, Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE) Version 1.3, EJB2.0, Ant, JRUN.

  2. The brand new Oracle 9i JDeveloper has one....built into the IDE...
    Web services development with WSDL/SOAP/UDDI support
    -Generation of stubs and skeletons from WSDL
    -Generation of service wrappers and WSDL from Java classes
    -Deployment to SOAP servers
    -Schema-driven XML editor including code insight and validation of WSDL
  3. The patterns look promising. The Architects FAQ looks even more promising, since one can tell these guys/gals have been there.

    When will we see WebSphere or SilverStream deployment? Does Oracle 9i deploy into other servers?

    So many toys, so little time..
  4. You should also look at BEA's Cajun which will be released at EWorld conference.
