EJB programming & troubleshooting: Data base operation not commiting.

  1. Data base operation not commiting. (2 messages)

Using oracle8, wl6.1, in an EJB I am doing an insert and a commit, I did not receive any sql exception and the row was not inserted in the table, any ideas, it seems that the commit did not work...

    thanks, Saad.

It's not clear from your post, how you are accessing the database (CMP or JDBC). If you are using JDBC, then it is very much a DB issue.

If you are using CMP, then probably the best thing to do is have a look at the SQL that Weblogic generates. You can do this by adding the following argument to the start weblogic command: "-Dweblogic.Debug=weblogic.JDBCSQL"

    eg within startWeblogic.cmd
    "%JAVA_HOME%\bin\java" -hotspot -ms64m -mx64m -classpath "%CLASSPATH%" <ADD IT HERE>

This should at least show you what communciation is really being done with the DB. Make sure that you have debug infomation being printted to the console - or you won't see the SQL.

Please make sure that you do not have a setRollbackOnly call anywhere in your code or the xml properties
