l developed JSP using tomcat 3.2.4, jdk1.3.1 on winXP. l
added a new jsp page at tomcat_home/examples/jsp/xxx.jsp.
l repeatedly saw HTTP error 404. However, l have no diffculty in running other sample jsp page. After renaming the file to xxx.html, everything is ok. In fact, l still could create jsp page and run it yesterday. But sometimes, when l accessed the jsp page, l was prompted to "open", "save", "cancel",.. the page. My JSP page is as simple as following. When l remove the contentType of attribute from page directive, everything run well. l have 1+ yr with JSP on Linux, but when come to window env, l was plagued by such odd problems. It is very grateful if someone can help me out....
<%@ page session="false" contentType="type=text/html; charset=utf8"%>
