    I would recommend ParaSoft's WebKing but ssshhh! ;-). (The last time I recommended a ParaSoft product -JTest- on these forums, there was a ParaSoft guy all over the forums pushing people to try the tool...)

    I've been successfully using OpenSTA http://www.opensta.org for stress/load testing of web sites with both static and dynamic content.
