EJB programming & troubleshooting: WebWork Help for EJB/JBoss

  1. WebWork Help for EJB/JBoss (1 messages)

    Hi,

    I wanted to use a web framework and found that WebWork was a nice one to use, but they don't have a tutorial on how to start with a hello world example or anything like that. I have built an EJB, now I want to access it through a JSP page. So do I have to write an action class that has the EJB client code, and have the JSP page use the taglibs to view the information? If so, how do I do that? I am using the latest JBoss-3.0.2. and the latest WebWork 1.2.1.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Vinu.

    You can call your EJB directly from WebWork action if you like. You can also implement Command Pattern as a Stateless Session Bean and send WebWork actions to be executed on EJB server or you can use more polished interfaces and classes for that.

    Then you just have to place accessors in your web work action.

    Pseudocode:

    class hello extends ActionSupport {

    }
