I find it a bit hard to read discussion threads on TSS, since the replies are just ordered by time, so there's no visual relation of an reply and the concrete message within a thread it is meant for. So if you read a thread (top-down), you constantly switch between the different subthreads, esp. a pain for "hot" threads.

Ever thought of visually grouping the subthreads within a thread (like e.g. in www.jguru.com)?

Yes, and this is being planned to be implemented as an optional personalization feature.
