Hi
I am currently working for a huge size project. It looks like we will be having more than 200 to 250 Stateless session beans. The number is scaring me. Is there any limit on the number of EJBs? Are there any guidelines for the same?
Please share your experience.
Thanks
Karthik

The numbers are well in the range of a typical enterprise application. There is no limits for the number of EJBs, except for those dictated by hardware/performance. As for the guidelines, there are a number of articles on "when to use EJBs", but they all lead to the cliche "it's up to you." -

Hi Koskela
Thanks for your response.
I asked this question because there is a general opinion that going for EJB will be costly when performance is concerned. Could be please comment on this?
Thanks
