Using jax-rpc with weblogic 5.1

XML & Web services: Using jax-rpc with weblogic 5.1

  1. Using jax-rpc with weblogic 5.1 (1 messages)

I want to create web services using jax-rpc with weblogic 5.1 as application server. However, I can't find any page where tell us how to use jax-rpc with weblogic.

I've downloaded jax-rpc 1.0, but I can't find the scripts I got to use (xrpcc, wscompile, etc.).

So, I downloaded Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.1 from Sun site. I'm trying to prove a HelloWorld example. I could do it with Tomcat (following the instructions at ). However I tried to deploy the same war file on Weblogic 5.1 as a normal webapp, but it gave me the following error:

    miÚ may 21 20:15:41 CEST 2003:<E> <HTTP> Error reading Web application 'C:/weblo gic/AirtelApps/hello-jaxrpc/despliegue/hello-deployable.war' at at at at<init>( at at at at<init>( at<init>( at at .java:404) at at com.sun.xml.parser.Resolver.createInputSource( at com.sun.xml.parser.ExternalEntity.getInputSource( 49) at com.sun.xml.parser.Parser.pushReader( at com.sun.xml.parser.Parser.externalParameterEntity( at com.sun.xml.parser.Parser.maybeDoctypeDecl( at com.sun.xml.parser.Parser.parseInternal( at com.sun.xml.parser.Parser.parse( at weblogic.xml.dom.SunDOMParser.getDocument( at weblogic.xml.dom.DOMParser.getDocument( at weblogic.servlet.internal.dd.DescriptorLoader.<init>(DescriptorLoader .java:134) at weblogic.t3.srvr.HttpServer.loadWARContext( at weblogic.t3.srvr.HttpServer.initServletContexts( at weblogic.t3.srvr.HttpServer.start( at weblogic.t3.srvr.T3Srvr.start( at weblogic.t3.srvr.T3Srvr.main( at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Native Method) at weblogic.Server.startServerDynamically( at weblogic.Server.main( at weblogic.Server.main(

I've been trying to find anywhere how to create jax-rpc web services on Weblogic 5.1, but no luck.

    Any help?

    Many thanks,

  2. I suggest openning up the war file, and looking at the web.xml DD. It looks like there is a problem retrieving the DTD.
