XML & Web services: Using jax-rpc with weblogic 5.1

  1. Using jax-rpc with weblogic 5.1 (1 messages)

    Hi,

I want to create web services using jax-rpc with weblogic 5.1 as application server. However, I can't find any page where tell us how to use jax-rpc with weblogic.

I've downloaded jax-rpc 1.0, but I can't find the scripts I got to use (xrpcc, wscompile, etc.).

So, I downloaded Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.1 from Sun site. I'm trying to prove a HelloWorld example. I could do it with Tomcat (following the instructions at http://java.sun.com/webservices/docs/1.1/tutorial/doc/index.html ). However I tried to deploy the same war file on Weblogic 5.1 as a normal webapp, but it gave me the following error:

    miÚ may 21 20:15:41 CEST 2003:<E> <HTTP> Error reading Web application 'C:/weblo gic/AirtelApps/hello-jaxrpc/despliegue/hello-deployable.war' java.net.UnknownHostException: java.sun.com at java.net.InetAddress.getAllByName0(InetAddress.java:571) at java.net.InetAddress.getAllByName0(InetAddress.java:540) at java.net.InetAddress.getByName(InetAddress.java:449) at java.net.Socket.<init>(Socket.java:100) at sun.net.NetworkClient.doConnect(NetworkClient.java:50) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.openServer(HttpClient.java:335) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.openServer(HttpClient.java:521) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.<init>(HttpClient.java:271) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.<init>(HttpClient.java:281) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.New(HttpClient.java:293) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.connect(HttpURLConnection .java:404) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(HttpURLCon nection.java:497) at com.sun.xml.parser.Resolver.createInputSource(Resolver.java:253) at com.sun.xml.parser.ExternalEntity.getInputSource(ExternalEntity.java: 49) at com.sun.xml.parser.Parser.pushReader(Parser.java:2748) at com.sun.xml.parser.Parser.externalParameterEntity(Parser.java:2500) at com.sun.xml.parser.Parser.maybeDoctypeDecl(Parser.java:1136) at com.sun.xml.parser.Parser.parseInternal(Parser.java:480) at com.sun.xml.parser.Parser.parse(Parser.java:283) at weblogic.xml.dom.SunDOMParser.getDocument(SunDOMParser.java:69) at weblogic.xml.dom.DOMParser.getDocument(DOMParser.java:102) at weblogic.servlet.internal.dd.DescriptorLoader.<init>(DescriptorLoader .java:134) at weblogic.t3.srvr.HttpServer.loadWARContext(HttpServer.java:717) at weblogic.t3.srvr.HttpServer.initServletContexts(HttpServer.java:692) at weblogic.t3.srvr.HttpServer.start(HttpServer.java:493) at weblogic.t3.srvr.T3Srvr.start(T3Srvr.java:1402) at weblogic.t3.srvr.T3Srvr.main(T3Srvr.java:885) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Native Method) at weblogic.Server.startServerDynamically(Server.java:140) at weblogic.Server.main(Server.java:97) at weblogic.Server.main(Server.java:58)

I've been trying to find anywhere how to create jax-rpc web services on Weblogic 5.1, but no luck.

    Any help?

    Many thanks,

    DAVID.
  2. I suggest openning up the war file, and looking at the web.xml DD. It looks like there is a problem retrieving the DTD.
