General J2EE: using both XA and non-XA drivers, in Weblogic ?
Hello, Is it OK to use both XA and non-XA database driver in the same application ? Each driver can have a separate ConnectionPool and DataSource (or TxDataSource)

It sounds ok to me, though been talking to someone who seems convinced it can't be done, so I'm curious!

It also sounds ok to me. We've done that with Weblogic Driver(s) for MS SQL Server and didn't run into any problems.
Yes, in WLS 8, but it must be set up in the WLS configuration. The non-XA driver must be set to allow participation in an XA transaction. More details are available in the documentation.
