EJB design: Routing from messaging system to EJB

  1. Routing from messaging system to EJB (3 messages)

This is for a stock trading system. Order request from multiple clients are posted to messaging queue. Business logic resides in the EJB framework. Listener process should read from message queue and call the respective enterprise java bean. At the same time listener should not wait for the completion of the bean call to process the next message in the message queue. Is there any standard mechanism to achieve this other than threads.
  2. Routing from messaging system to EJB[ Go to top ]

You should see the EJB 2.0 specification. In EAServer we provide a messagig system that supports notifying beans asyncrhonously of messages which meet their subscription. When EJB2 is complete we will fully support this.

ive worked in NYC with a handful of banks using our messagin system for this.

  3. Routing from messaging system to EJB[ Go to top ]

for now that seems to be the viable solution. u can use thread pooling to improve the performance.

  4. A solution to a similar problem is also described in this week's featured article in www.theserverside.com called
