Our company has found .NET to be an extremely powerful and productive platform. However, a lot of projects have demanded portability, leaving Java as the only sensible choice.
In Q4, however, Mono 1.0 is slated for release. This means that the entire .NET Framework will be available on several platforms.
So, my question is, does any of you guys plan to migrate to .NET, now that the portability issue is about to be settled? Not trying to be a troll... just curious.
On the client side, we find .NET to be superior, while I think that Java is stronger on the server side. Will that change when COM+ functionality becomes part of the .NET framework (and, hence, Mono.) ?
