The requested resource (/hello) is not available

Web tier: servlets, JSP, Web frameworks: The requested resource (/hello) is not available

  1. Hi all,

    I have the hello.war file in my tomcat/webapps directory ,and hello dir and modified the server.xml with the following
    <Context path="/hello" docBase="hello"

    debug="0" privileged="true"/>

     and when iam trying to access the application using http://localhost:8080/hello iam getting the following exception

     

    Apache Tomcat/4.0.1 - HTTP Status 404 - /hello

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    type Status report

    message /hello

    description The requested resource (/hello) is not available.

    Iam not getting where the problem is.Can any one please help me to resolve this problem?
  2. 1. What is the directory structure of your .zip file?
    2. Is your server exploding the .war file or leaving it zipped? If it is
       exploding the war file, what does the directory structure look like?
    3. Do you have a welcome-file list defined for your app, or do you have a file
       that has the same name as the welcome-file list defined for the server?
    4. Is the web-xml file located in the WEB-INF directory of your application?
