    I'm newbie of XML. I want to get infomation from XML files with java. I found there are a lot of package that can parse xml. I am confused where is my start point, which is the most popular parser of XML.

    It used in most of the industries

    For Java, the most popular parser is probably Xerces. It is Open Source and uses the industry standard JAXP, DOM and SAX APIs. Most XML-Java books use it for their examples. If you are learning, I recommend you start with it.

    An interesting alternative is JDOM, which is earier to work with.
