EJB design: DAO and Entity Beans

    Recently I started reading a j2ee design pattern book, which advocates a persistance framework. In this framework they have place the dao in front of the entity bean. I always thought it was to work the other way around, with the entity bean delegating to the dao? Are both options valid in certain circumstances? Comments?

    You more than likely misinterpreted the diagram. DAO components are accessed from the entity bean, not the other way around.

    Thats what I thought. But I didn't. The book is "j2ee design patterns applied", by wrox. It definatly has the dao in front of the entity bean...(pg97)
