EJB design: which is most reliable(easy to use) ejb application server?

  1. Now which is the most reliable ejb-application-server?
and which is the most easy to deploy?
which is the best one in comprehensive consideration?
which is the best in cluster-system?
    which is the most compatible?
  2. Well, it depends what do you want to use it for.

    - Now which is the most reliable ejb-application-server?
    Weblogic(for everything)
    - which is the most easy to deploy?
Weblogic, JBoss(http://www.jboss.org) - just create ear, war, jar and copy it to /deploy and off you go (AFAIK)
    - which is the best one in comprehensive consideration?
    Weblogic
    - which is the best in cluster-system?
    Weblogic
    - which is the most compatible?
Compatible in what sense?? do u mean less propritery extensions? Or compatible with OS??
ear, war, jar created and deployed with jBoss are fully portable.

If you are just looking for learning and testing go for jBoss for production go for Weblogic(or rather wait for Weblogic 6)

  3. Now which is the most reliable ejb-application-server?

    Sybase EAServer

    - which is the most easy to deploy?

Sybase EAServer can automatically import EJB 0.4, EJB 1.0, EJB 1.1, WAR, EAR, and COM objects.

    - which is the best one in comprehensive consideration? We are on of the only J2EE branded products. We support EJB 0.4, EJB 1.0 and EJB 1.1 all in the same container. We also support CORBA 2.3, C++, and COM.

    - which is the best in cluster-system?

Sybase EAServer. We support automatic cluster synchronization allowing you to make one change in one server and "push" this change out across a cluster including the ability to version the clusters to keep them in total sync without ever shutting any of them down. We allow clusters to live in any network environment even across a WAN. Weblogic requires you to make error prone manual changes to entire clusters, and its clustering uses TCP mutli-cast meaning every cluster member must live on the same subnet making the bridge a point of failure.

    - which is the most compatible?

Sybase EAServer. It is one of the few J2EE branded servers available today. Only full J2EE branding promises you the compatability you require. WebLogic wont be until almost January.
