In order to get wider public exposure for the final rounds of changes going into J2SE 1.5 we've decided to post each build between now and the RC (release candidate) build.http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/snapshots
Build 55 is available on the web right now at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/snapshots/.
Unlike our milestone releases these builds receive only limited testing, so they're not for the faint of heart. If you'd like to live on the bleeding edge, though, then these builds are for you.

This is an excellent idea, I for one already have my Windows and Linux snapshot and will be using for our internal work (a not unreasonable amount of developers). Yes I know Sun are using us as unpaid testers but we all (apart from Rolf Tollerud) make our money from Java and the better Java is the more money we make.
Test away guys, show Rolf what a real community can do!

Rolf is paid if not FROM then BECAUSE OF Java.
So, been smart enougth , he will be glad to see Java
well alive in next 23 years to have stable
job for him-self...
(To have good enemy is good thing)
