EJB programming & troubleshooting: Handling errors in EJB/JSP!

  1. Handling errors in EJB/JSP! (1 messages)

I am calling a CMP Bean from JSP. The bean object throws some errors/exceptions. I want the Bean to throw exception in the browser itself, so that I can keep track of it. Can I send message from CMP bean using out object? How to maintain the scope? Can anybody help me in this?

I would suggest don't call the Bean directly from ur JSP , instead use a Java Bean , there you write a get method which make calls on ur CMP. This Java Bean method should throw the same exceptions which the method in ur CMP Bean are throwing.
Next write the <jsp:getProperty> inside a try catch block in ur JSP, this way u can print the exceptions on the browser.
