General J2EE: Java code for JSP in Weblogic 6.1

  1. Java code for JSP in Weblogic 6.1 (1 messages)

When ever a new JSP is deployed in weblogic 6.1, Its first converted to it corresponding servelet class and java code for that servlet is generated, which in turn is compiled and its corresponding class file is generated. After the successfull compilation of the servlet class, the source file is deleted and only class file resides in web-inf folder.

Is there any such configuration parameter in weblogic 6.1 through which we can prevent the source file from deleted. If so, please let me know... Thankx in advance.

    Hello ,
Go to weblogic console using http://localhost:7001/console .
There you click on webapplications which will also list your webapp.
On the right hand side frame click on "Edit Web Application Deployment Descriptors..." which will open a new window listing webapp configuration settings. In this window in left hand frame click on "JSP Descriptor" which will open JSP configuration settings for this webapp. then on right hand side you will find the checkbox "Keepgenerated" .. Check this checkbox. And you will get the JSP to Servlet code in a directory "jsp_servlet".
