XML & Web services: Can JDOM serialize a JavaBean to XML?

  1. Can JDOM serialize a JavaBean to XML? (3 messages)

    It seems like I recall reading this somewhere that, given a javabean, JDOM will serialize it to xml using the field names as tags. Thanks

    Thanks, but that's not quite what I was looking for, but it's close. I'm looking for something that just outputs the attributes of an object graph using reflection with no fluff at all, so if you have an object:

    Test
       String firstName, String lastName

    and you serialized it you would get:

    <Test>
       <FirstName>"Joe"</FirstName>
       <LastName>"Joe"</LastName>
    </Test>

    Was thinking of something like JAXB or Castor, but would prefer an API I'm already familiar with. Thanks
