I am refactoring an app that has lots of giant (like 8000 lines) java classes that export data from the app to other systems. These classes consume way too much RAM. I am looking for a framework that might work better.
The export is from relational databases and/or cached EJB 2.0 CMPs to some combination of positional text files, XML/SOAP, FTP and SQL inserts. It would be ideal if I could find some sort of framework that used a configuration file or a simple object graph to define what data to capture and how to manage the output. Does anyone know of open source frameworks that might handle this?
