Hello,
We are looking for a web framework which make us able to develop Java Web Applications with a good productivity.
This framework must not only be a technical framework (logging, database access, etc.), but also an application framework : we want to develop new applications very quickly, without being J2EE experts, and focus on business logic.
We have already seen the frameworks of several french companies, but without being sure to have found the right solution.
What is for you the best framework to develop quickly Java Web Application ?
Thierry

I still like Struts. There is a large community around it.
If I were learning from scratch I'd probably lean towards using Spring with Spring MVC or JSF. -

You might want to look at Appfuse. Its like a "meta" web framework built using Struts, Spring and Hibernate. -

Check out this poll:

I'm leaning heavy towards Spring MVC; maybe Struts. I have to decide this week for my own project but even other/future projects are eyeing my decision. -

Webwork is another powerful framework. Struts and Webwork have recently combined their projects . -

I am planning on using WebWork 2.2 for my next project. According to the ASF documentation, this will set up nicely for migrating to the new Struts Action Framework that should be released later this year. -

hello. for your need ,you must use shine frame work. that is a powerful j2ee frame work with simple usage. shine is a service oriented framework. you can support ajax vith shine specialy and very easy. shine support mvc and have it`s special architecture JWMS(java web model service). Shine has deployed on JWMS architecture that is exclusive to itself. Furthermore it supports MVC architecture too. As another advantage, Shine doesn't have the complexity of the other frameworks (for example FormBean component in Struts, …) and let developers to work with a very strong but simple operational process In addition to the Shines Special capability which I said, it has complex capabilities of Tapestry, Struts, Servlet, Jsp & … . if you test shine framework,I sure you will be shine user. fore find more information about shine framework, you can go to this site: www.j2sos.org shine framework`s support team website and you can see sevral sample with shine in this address: http://groups.google.com/group/j2sos/web and for downloading shine you can visit sourceforge.net in this link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/shine-app/ -
