I am looking for a workaround for the following problem:
We have a JSP-Page that uses some EJBs to calculate a result. This calculation takes several minutes so the browser becomes a timeout.
Is there a way to work around this timeout problem? I am thinking for e.g. a page that shows the process of the calculation so that the browser keeps connected and does not get a timeout.
Does anyone have a solution for this ?
Thanks in advance.
It depends up on the app server properties.
for eg: In weblogic...you have to specify like.....
Setting the timeout value for reading HTTP POST data
You can control the amount of time available to read HTTP POST data using the weblogic.httpd.postTimeoutSecs=integer property. The argument sets the time available to read the data in seconds. The range of valid arguments is between 10 and 120 seconds.
Here is an example with the time set to 25 seconds.
By default weblogic.httpd.postTimeoutSecs is set to 30.
Try this out.
