Intrinsyc Software has released J-Integra Espresso, software that provides a set of development tools and run-time components that bridge Java, CORBA and Microsoft .NET technologies.

It provides significant performance gains as compared to alternative bridging solutions including Web Services. For Java, it allows use of CLR components from the Java side, supporting IIOP, class hierarchy preservation, and exception translation.

Congratulations on the release ! I'm curious about one thing though. I assume this solution uses native .NET to perform faster than Web Services. Is that true? If so, how much is this solution effected by changes to the .NET specification and protocol (I hear there is some churn here) and other supportability issues?
