    I have deployed my EJb in JBoss 3.2.7.
    But at the time I am making a lookup with the remote jndi name its throwing this exception.

    javax.naming.CommunicationException: Receive timed out. Root exception is java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Receive timed out

    What could be the reson for such an error?

    What are the contents of your jndi.properties file. If you dont have this file in your classpath, then you may post the parameters that you are passing to InitialContext while doing a lookup of the bean
