We are considering to use IBM VisualAge (ver.3.5 patch 2) for development and to deploy on Bea Weblogic (ver. 5.1, and possibly 6.0 in future) in our project. We are concerned whether this combination may cause some problems.
We would appreciate to hear from anyone with experiences on this issue. Other recommendations of development environment
for deployment on Weblogic would also be appreciated very much.
Regards,
Andre/Vinh.

BEA maintains an integration between the two environments, but I don't know if it has been ported to WLS 6.0 yet. I've used the integration in the past and it worked fine. I was able to run a non-clustered WLS instance within VisualAge directly.
If you have technical specification questions, try contacting Lauren Wright at BEA. I believe that she is still the project manager for this integration.
