TrackStudio is a very flexible hierarchical issue tracking and bug tracking system. Support for project-specific customization, and issue-level security allows users to customize nearly every aspect of the system with a few clicks of the mouse. The following major new features have been incorporated in TrackStudio 3.5: - Totally new SCM integration has been implemented. - Linking of tasks and users has been improved significantly. - Simplified full text search was implemented. - Microsoft Project export has been improved. - A new AJAX-based user interface has been improved. It support export to MS Project 2004+ and CVS/SVN integration using repository polling. Please check out some screenshots: http://www.trackstudio.com/documentation/35/html/New_Features.html -

Ok, we do export to MS Project (I assume, you support MSP Server also) Then, PM's did their stuff - adding tasks, etc. On the second export to MS Project, do you preserve those changes? How? -

No, this is just export, new file generated each time. BTW, why do you need both issue tracking and project management system and integrate them ? I feel like issue tracking is the best for planning/processing many (1000+) short tasks, but project management - for planning a few large tasks with complex dependency. Project management and issue tracking are similar ares, but with different focus and you rarely get benefits from such integration. Hmm, I don't remember any system with good issue tracking and project management functionality. Best I know are good project management system with very basic issue tracking or good issue tracking system with very basic project management functionality.

Some huge companies exist with sustained management tools. And they choose MS Project as standard for PM software. No really any chance to discuss this issue with neither topmanagement nor PM themself - they are happy with MSProject.

The benefits are - management will only agree with tool which have integration with existing software - MSProject in case. And yes, TM and PM tools quite different, but used by different audience.

Yep. :) Thats why we need good integration
