Wish you a very happy new year.
I am trying to pass data from frontend(JSP) like for example username and password to an backend(EJB). I am perplexed thinking how to do this integration. Any suggestions would be really helpful
Look up any example code of fetching the ejb home instance from your JNDI source, and using it for creation of an ejb object communicating with the bean as a proxy.
Any EJB tutorial will show you the basics.
1. Submit the JSP form to a Servlet.
2. Servlet will lookup (or use a Service Locator) the ejb home, create the bean instance and call the method on the ejb instance passing the parameters available.
3. Fetch the result and forward to appropriate page.
I think they are planning that feature in EJB 3.1
