According to this article by Cath Everett "HP faces formidable challenges ahead if it is to convince users to buy into its NetAction software scheme". The article points out that HP has to work hard to shed its image as a hardware company and succeed in the web services market.

I think one of the main challenges here is for people to understand exactly what they can do with some of this technology. The Bluestone portion should be fairly clear since it is J2EE based. However the e-speak portion is less well-known. E-speak is really the originator of all this UDDI/SOAP/etc. stuff. It is more mature and can be very powerful if understood properly by both large corporations and internet architectures.
