XML & Web services: WebService Client and Security

  1. WebService Client and Security (1 messages)

I have a web service that I am connecting to, I am attaching the code: URL url = new URL("http://webservice.server.com/WSRouter/services/Start"); Starter starter = loc.getStarter(url); javax.xml.rpc.Stub stub = (javax.xml.rpc.Stub) starter; stub._setProperty(javax.xml.rpc.Stub.USERNAME_PROPERTY, "swsadmin"); stub._setProperty(javax.xml.rpc.Stub.PASSWORD_PROPERTY, "swsadmin"); The problem that I have is that the user id and PWD is emdedded into the application. My other choice is to put it in the property file. But Again I really do not like that as well. Is there another solution for this? My environment is AIX running WebSphere 6. Any help/suggestions is much appreciated.
  2. Use SSL and the client cert as the credential.
