XML & Web services: Web services Input data validation

  1. Web services Input data validation (1 messages)

Hi, In the wsdl, we had some constraints on the input data. For eg:- Web services client & server are implemented in Java. Here the Client builds the DomainID java object and invokes an operation and passes DomainID. Code works fine even if the client sets a value i.e out of range from 0-999. Right now I am validating the data manually on the server side. Can you help me if there is any option to turn on the validation i.e not manual? Please share your thoughts on this. Thanks, Janardhan.
  2. https://jax-ws.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=239 has 67 votes and we are working on incorporating support for schema-based validation that can be turned on explicitly. The current release of Metro is baked into GlassFish and can be downloaded from (http://glassfish.java.net) or a stand-alone build of Metro can be downloaded from (http://metro.dev.java.net). JAX-WS 2.1.3/Metro 1.1 will have this bugfix. Please stay tuned for details in the Metro forum (http://forums.java.net/jive/forum.jspa?forumID=46). Please post your further questions on Metro or JAX-WS to the Metro forum. Thanks, -Arun
