At least in the login screen, and I think in some other form, I feel it would feel better for users to press some "Login" button instead of the default "Submit Query".

   If you find something newsworthy, then you can post it on the home page. The message will have to be authorized first and I check those messages regularly. As for messages about useful articles, they should best be posted just like you did, in the respective forums. Feel free to use HTML links in your messages.
