It seems to me that the application with TAGS is slower than the application with scriptlets. AT least that's what I am experiencing. I have taken as much care as I can regarding keeping the scope of different objects to minimum contexts(PAGE, APPLICATION, REQUEST..).
Am I a missing something? Is this trade off between maintenance and performance? Is there any simialr conclusions from any reliable sources such as Sun?
