    Hi, I would like to know few advantages (apart from the cost) of having the Database Server (such as MySQL or Postgre) and the Application that is using the DB on the same machine. Thanks

    Need not worry of Network bandwidth. As far as i can think of.. Thanks, Senthil Kumar
