    in the book of oreilly's hibernate; in the 1st chapter an attribute with name xmlns is given shall we has to set anything previously or not. plz explain, yours, sathish.g.

    xmlns is xml namespace.. Before going through hibernate its better to first go through basics of xml and xsd.. That will help you...

    but if your project is complicated，you should use xmlns，it like package in java，namespace in c#...
