LogicalDOC is a multiplatform Document Management System (DMS) based on open source technology (Tomcat + ICEFaces + Hibernate). Thanks to its intuitive interface, LogicalDOC transforms complex operations into easy tasks. It allows the storage, organization, versioning and use of all kind of files and documents within an user friendly framework. Thanks to its design, LogicalDOC adapts to the necessities of companies of any importance and size. It allows to manage huge as well as small amounts of documents, to classify them and to manage their accessibility. LogicalDOC allows to centralize all company's informations in a single access point, guarantying the security of the data. In this way, only authorized users can have access to specific data. LogicalDOC is a Web 2.0 (Ajax) application that works with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Opera. This new version entails the following improvements: a new WebDAV interface, Custom Identifiers on documents, definition of Document Types with specific attributes through document Templates, ability to define links between documents, improved Versioning system as well as the the oportunity of making a document immutable. Logicaldoc has many features that facilitate teamwork such as versioning, the discussion on the documents and the internal messaging system, however one of the most relevant functions to mention is the full-text indexing of the most common types of files: text, Office, OpenOffice, PDF, HTML, XML, JPEG, etc. Its powerful search engine (Lucene) indexes all documents making it easy to find any information.
