In the process of developing web report, chart is very important. It is because that a simple chart can display report data more clearly, and enhance the readability of web report greatly. As a pure Java web report developing tool, RAQ Report supports 45 kinds of statistical charts. Not only primary ones like bar chart, pie chart, line chart, etc, but also advanced ones like radar chart, gantt chart, milestone chart, etc. Next, we will introduce a skill to set serial name for chart legend with RAQ Report. In RAQ Report, users can define category axis and series easily. However, after user setting serial name, chart legend sometimes displays right serial name, while sometimes displays the name of category axis. With RAQ Report, users can set the category axis and series of statistical chart easily. For setting the display serial name, RAQ Report provides two choices for developers. 1. Serial name is corresponding to an expansion cell. In this condition, serial name is several values expanded from the expansion cell. 2. Serial name is corresponding to a constant. In this condition, users also have two choices. a. If users choose default setting, the serial name is equal to the constant. Then, the legend will not display the constant, but the values of category axes. b. If users do not want legend to display the values of category axes, but correspond to the constant, they only need to choose "Chart -> Appearance" and check "Legend on serial". This solves users' problem. No matter serial name is expansion cell or constant, they can set chart legend correctly. This post is from freezea's blog.
