In these three video interviews authors and developers discuss the history of open source and where they think it is going in the future. The interviewees were presenters at TheServerSide Java Symposium last month, and include Jeff Genender, Ted Neward, and Eugene Ciurana. Each has had a long relationship with open source both as users and as contributors, and offers insight based on their personal experience.

There's also a pair of brief interviews with scientists at two European universities who discuss how open source technology is helping to further research in biology and other fields.
