I'm not sure if this is the correct forum or not. I just wanted to call attention to the fact that the book "Oracle JRockit - the definitive guide" has been released. I have been working on it together with my co-author Marcus Hirt for over a year
To our knowledge this is the first in-depth guide to how a commercial JVM works.
It may prove interesting for anyone interested in JVM internals, application tuning and using the JRockit Mission Control suite for online profiling. It is, of course, partly a JRockit specific book, but a lot of the JVM material is platform agnostic as well. Wherever the book is JRockit specific, we have targeted the latest major release of JRockit, R28, that shipped in May.
