After falling to second place for a tad, Java is back at the top of the popularity list.
TIOBE Programming Community Index for June 2010
Java has been really taking its lumps lately, and the move to second place came at a particularly bad time, as the Sun/Oracle acquisition just completed, and as we all recall, James Gosling exited Oracle. So, when Java moved out of first spot, it felt almost like being kicked while we were down.
I'm not sure what we really learn from this survey, but it does feel good to be back in first again.
