General J2EE: Need best practices and tools used in Production Support

  1. We operate in Level 2 Production Support (Onsite-Offshore) Model

    We do Incidednt and problem fixes

    Tools that we use are

    1)Gomez- to monitor site response time

    2)Tools for managing incident and problem

    3)Autosys-Job scheduler

    4)Puuty/WinSCP to login to Unix box

    5)Eclipse for code fixes

    6)Documentation portal

    7)SVN for version control

     

    We are in need of Industry best practises and tools that would fit Production support model, to improve our client satisfaction. Please help
