A couple of readers of my previous article on scala argued that for such a simple task it was preferable a bash or python script. Luckily all of them understood that this was just an excuse to give scala a try. Nevertheless, to make justice to bash and python, with some googling around I managed to reproduce the funcionality of the scala script. Which one do you like best?

Even another revision of the script, now Scala is on par with python, and at them same time a fine excuse to learn implicit conversions, Scala's answer to ruby's open classes... check it out here
