This problem is coming bcoz of ur path which is not correct
Set ur path correctly to point to ur servlets directory
so that it ccan read the package from there.

I am using JSDK2.0.I am running the servlets by giving full-path at compilation time on the dos prompt.I have set the path in autoexec.bat, but it is not working.I dont know why.
Also,I am facing similar problem with JSWDK1.0.1
I have given the path, but not working.
Could yu please suggest some other server which I can use on a Windows98 machine.
    Thanks

    Hello,

The problem with JWS2.0 may be that it must not be taking the classpath correctly.

Just go to settings - Control Panel - Environment.
    Set your classpath as

    c:\JavaWebserver2.0\lib\servlet.jar

This will compile your servlet file.

You need to give the full path of your servlet.jar file in the classpath. The class you are trying to import is in this jar file and hence the reason.
