Anyone know how transactions in a clustered environment work. Is it transparent. I am sure this is a implementaion issue for the vendors. Any experience with what is going on at present with vendors.

This is not an implementation issue especially if you use Weblogic. Weblogic 5+ handles multi-homing and distributed clustering I believe
