I am just doing my first steps in JSP invoking "standard" JavaBeans, -NO EJBs-. I know this is done with the <jsp:useBean ... > element.

In the other hand I have my bean class with the set and get methods.

Now the question is: How do I deploy this java class as a "standard" JavaBean ? Is it enough to compile the .java file and place the .class file in a classpath subdirectory ?
or do I have to wrap the bean with the manifest file and deploy it as a .jar file ?

I just placed the .class file in a classpath dir, but it seems WebLogic is not invoking the bean's methods.

Thanks in advance to anyone than can help me !!
