Is any body did BLOB or CLOB opration using a database connection obtained from weblogic TxnDataSource or connection Pool.??
Is it possible.
BLOB and CLOB in CMP's are supported starting only from 6.1 i think. You can use a suitable driver like the jdbc20 driver and using normal SQL's can perform operations on BLOB and CLOB's.
Yes - only when you use WebLogic's jDriver/Oracle to create the connection pool. Oracle's drivers will not work.
We've used a standard connection pool of Oracle thin drivers and used it succesfully to read and write CLOB and BLOB data. We use SQL operations however to read and write in chunks, and not the setBlob and setCLOB methods.
Which version of WebLogic Server do you use? What is the name of the class that you cast the object from ResultSet.getBlob() to?
I am using that weblogic's oracle driver only.
It gives me errors.
It seems like ResultSet.getClob() returns an RMI (kind of ) object
instead of the Clob object.
