  1. <jsp:include problem (3 messages)

    Hi,

    Can anyone help.

    Running on Visual Age 3.5. I am having problems getting the <jsp:include tag working with parameters.

    On its own:
    <jsp:include page="/servlet/ServletTest" flush="true" />
    This works fine.

    Problem is I want to pass parameters:
    <jsp:include page="/servlet/ServletTest" flush="true" >
       <jsp:param name="nick1" value="xx" />
    </jsp:include>

    but the page gives an error of:
    "Unterminated <jsp:include tag"

    All the books, manuals etc. say use this syntax.

    Nick..

  2. <jsp:include problem[ Go to top ]

    Hi,

      I don't know if this will help, but maybe (????) placing spaces in the tags as the following link has it, it might work. If not, I have NO idea, well, unless your JSP server doesn't support the jsp:include tag correctly...

    Cheers for info, but this is the same syntax which I am trying.

    Maybe there's a bug with websphere?

    I'm running Version 3.5.3 build 0330 and I still have the exact same problem.

    <jsp:forward page="/snoop.jsp">
    <jsp:param name=test value=test/>
    </jsp:forward>

    gives me

    com.ibm.servlet.engine.webapp.WebAppErrorReport: E:\VisualAge for Java\ide\project_resources\IBM WebSphere Test Environment\hosts\default_host\default_app\web\dns\test.jsp(1,0) "Unterminated <jsp:forward tag"

    The same is true of jsp:include

    <jsp:include page="/snoop.jsp">
    <jsp:param name=test value=test/>
    </jsp:include>

    gives me

    com.ibm.servlet.engine.webapp.WebAppErrorReport: E:\VisualAge for Java\ide\project_resources\IBM WebSphere Test Environment\hosts\default_host\default_app\web\dns\test.jsp(1,0) "Unterminated <jsp:include tag"
