BILLINGS, Montana -- September 5, 2001 -- Sims Computing today announced the release of Flux 3.1, the Enterprise Job Scheduler. Flux is a software component that provides sophisticated job scheduling functionality to Java and J2EE applications.

Flux 3.1 contains 30 improvements over Flux 3.0 including a web-based management console for administering Flux from a web browser and support for interacting with Flux using XML.

"As our customers and OEM partners continue to embed Flux in their enterprise applications, we've expanded Flux's feature set to better accommodate them. Flux 3.1 is the result of our ongoing efforts," said David Sims, President of Sims Computing.

Integration

Optionally, Flux integrates tightly with J2EE applications. Flux supports EJB and JMS enterprise Java technologies. Flux is database and application server independent. Supported databases include Sybase, Informix, Oracle, IBM, and Microsoft. Supported application servers include Sybase EAServer, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Borland AppServer, and iPlanet.
