I was curious about how entity beans perform when used to persist data as compared to using Data Access Objects.
I was told by someone that management of entity beans on a large project can get very difficult because entity beans are memory exhaustive and the comparitive performance enhancements are less (when compared to the data objects approach).
Could people let me know what their thought is on this? When does it make sense to use entity beans and when does it make sense to create data objects to access/manipulate data manually.
